One of the most asked questions is what materials Colorful Standard uses to make their products. Totally fair question to ask, and you can rest assured knowing that the crew from Colorful Standard only sources the best raw and organic materials.
It takes no time at all to pop over to either the online store/website or one of their Brick and Mortar stores to immediately notice the wide range of bright and large scale color choices in their lineup of shirts, hoodies, sweats, and other accessories. TRYING THEM OUT
Initial go at the hoodie and sweats were a hit. But now the real test- how does the sustainable approach hold up against the elements? We wanted to explore the key focus points that we all want to know about: Construction, Material Quality, and Feel/Wearability.
Construction
The Colorful Standard pieces are made from 100% Organic cotton, which means cotton that is grown without genetically modified seeds. Well that’s sounds nice. Oh, and it is. The overall quality of construction can maybe not be seen from far away but when we put it on, felt the seam lines and settled into the hoodie and sweats we could tell the difference in quality. We could “feel” the material that was made by hardworking people if that makes sense. The materials are also pre-washed and shrunk so the size you buy is the size you get.

Material Quality
Material is sort of important wouldn’t you say? Well, Colorful Standard pieces are regionally made for carbon footprint reasons and also because of Portugal’s impeccable reputation in workmanship. Each piece is garment dyed after they have been cut and sewn to give the fabric an even better color retention and feel. We for sure had all the feels in these.

Feel/wearability
Speaking of feels-How do you feel? We can’t hear you so we’ll tell you how we feel in these. How does $1million bucks sound? Yeah- we felt so good in these we didn’t want to get out of them. The hoodie is thicker than others we have tested and we liked that knowing it would hold up well here when it snows. The sweats feel like you are wearing clouds and are the perfect blend of comfort and style. We loved the inside texture of the material and dug the overall fit to our bodies. Even after several washes we still recognized the items after- which is huge because we swear other apparel we have tested shrinks or loses shape instantly when put into the dryer.
Our crew for the most part are in the 6 foot tall range and typically wear a medium- we suggest going to a Large for some added room but if snug and firm fitting is your style a medium would do the trick!
Feel/Wearability Rating: 10/10
Our crew dug the items and would say they’re one of the more comfortable sweats and hoodies we have tested.
