Buy a Ski Jacket, Get a Day on the Mountain: Helly Hansen Ski Free

Buy the jacket. Get the day on the mountain.

Most ski jackets come with a hang tag. Helly Hansen’s come with a lift ticket. The Norwegian brand’s Ski Free program is back for the 2026–27 season: buy a qualifying ski jacket or pants, upload your receipt, and pick up a free day pass (or a 2-for-1) at one of their partner resorts across North America and Europe. It caught our eye. Here’s how it works.

How Ski Free Works

  • 1. Get your gear

All in-season ski jackets, pants and suits qualify, plus some past-season styles. One product covers one redemption.

  • 2. Pick your resort

Choose from Helly Hansen’s partner resorts. The offer and any blackout dates differ by resort, so check before you plan the trip.

  • 3. Redeem and ski

Upload a photo of your receipt. Your voucher arrives by email within 48 hours on weekdays, and you pick up your pass at the resort.

What You Can Get

  • A free 1-day lift ticket

The simplest one: a day pass, no strings.

  • 2-for-1, same day

Bring a buddy and get two tickets for the price of one.

  • Second day free

Buy one day and the next one is on them. Built for a weekend trip.

  • 3 days for the price of 2

For the guy who is staying a while.

The Gear Our Crew Is Eyeing

Good to Know

  • Use it this season

Your receipt is good for the same ski season you bought the gear, roughly October through April.

  • Bought it somewhere else?

It still counts if it’s on Helly Hansen’s qualifying list and the receipt shows the product name and date.

  • Giving it as a gift?

Tuck the receipt in with it. That’s what gets the day on the mountain.
