What’s Thread’s mission?
To help people feel their best by making it easy to dress well. Because they believe adding to your wardrobe should always add to your confidence. Unlike other “subscription services”, Thread sends personalized style ideas to your inbox each week, and it’s always up to you whether you place an order. Thread is entirely free to use – in the hope to make it easier for you to find clothes you love. Pretty neat right? Yeah- we thought so too, so our crew dove in head/feet first into the website and tested out the clothing company disrupting the “what do I wear?” game…
INITIAL IMPRESSIONS
Right out the gate- Thread lays down the line and lets you know how easy it is to get started. When you first “sign up” the platform walks you through some “looks you like” to determine your style. Taking their short “Style Quiz” you are well on your way to personalized outfits direct to you in your inbox (or on the website itself). From there you can browse over 700 shops, and grab brands like Burberry, Nike, and even some independent brands worth sliding into…
You can then message your stylist as needed to get help with an outfit for an interview (in person interview ‘cause we know you don’t need pants for Zoom), a night out with your girl, or a night out to “find” your girl…no matter the event, Thread stylists are there to help.
The style, approach, options, whatever you want to call it, could quite possibly be the only place to dial in your hand picked wardrobe, on your budget, on your terms.

TESTING IT OUT
Our crew signed up for Thread and walked through the process- start to finish. We started off signing up and answering a few style questions that matched our preferred looks, looks we would be open to trying, even our heck no’s list to ensure we didn’t get styled in a way that our moms would call asking if we were doing “ok”….
THE PICKS
Once we answered our preferred looks and style preferences, we were paired up with a stylist who started doing her magic. Within an hour it seemed we had a curated list, and boy do we mean list, of wardrobes, styles, fits, and matches to wear. Many of the styles included elements such as

Etc…

THE QUALITY
The quality matters when you drop $$ on a new outfit- picked by someone else. If they chose something you can find at a local retailer, one might wonder if this is worth it?? Well, here it is- because Thread outs you in the driver seat while sort of follwoing map directions. You can decide if you want nab a shirt suggested, go with the pants or heck, throw it all to the wind and grab that entire look- for a reasonable price, and shipped without having to go into the store

OVERALL
Overall the report from the field was solid. The ease of the platform, the style suggestions, and the non-pushy “did you buy what I picked for you??” stylist. Everything was easy, shipped really quick and was as described on the platform. Overall, Thread nailed the styles, the look, and our preferences as if they were in our heads…some magic wizardy stuff man….
