Wildly Good Socks: Real Wildly Good Socks

Going wild for Wildly Good Socks

Want to rock your socks? Want some of the most comfy socks you’ll find on the market? Want us to land this intro and just get to the point? Ok- Wildly Good Socks are REALLY GOOD! No, we didn’t just say that because their website says it. We said it because they are telling you the truth.

Socks need to be 2 things: 1.) comfy and 2.) comfy. Ok we said the same thing twice. But in all honesty socks simply just need to be comfy for people to deem them as a good pair. Now, add in killer materials, solid construction, cool designs, durable performance, anti-stink properties and BOOM- you’ve got yourself some amazing socks. The team over at Wildly Good Socks had an even wilder idea: send the duuude crew a pair and have them test them out. Well guess what? We did test them out and have Wildly Good  Socks a go.

INITIAL IMPRESSIONS

After ferociously ripping the shipping bag open our crew found a pair of the Wildly Good Sock brands offerings- Merino Wool blend. The socks and cool sticker were a neat pair (no pun intended) to grab an instant impression from. The cool logo, sticker, and neatly packaged pair of soft socks had us anticipating the feel on our feet.

The socks from Wildly Good Socks include qualities that make them some of the best socks that may have ever been made. The packaging referencing the quality threads they use, the padded bottoms, and compression in all the right spots- make these great socks. With all different types of materials in their offerings, the one we gave a spin was the Merino Wool- and our initial impression was a wildly good one.

TRYING THEM OUT

Our crew tested out one of the offerings by Wildly Good Socks for the review: the Merino Wool Blend.

When we took the socks out of the package, we could feel the quality and comfort in our hands alone. The lightweight feel and smoothness of the socks caught our attention. Built for everyday adventures, these socks fit our feet as if they were custom made for just us. The natural Merino Wool material blended with flexible materials in its construction, gave the pair an ability to stretch and conform to our feet. The socks are durable and withstood a plethora of pulling on and off testing.

We wore the socks in a variety of settings and environments to really put them through the fire. On a light to medium hike and the socks anti wick construction helped keep the stink out and the excessive sweat off the inside of our socks and feet by magically disappearing to some unknown land. All we know is that after taking our shoes off nobody passed out from foot stank- win number one!

Call us crazy but we tested the claim that these socks can handle multiple uses without washing. After the hike we handed the pair over to another crew member (we know we are brutal) and asked them to wear them to a meeting. Here is all we know- nobody reported the smell, the victim/crew member didn’t feel the socks exuded an odor, and when we all took a whiff of the socks after- no running for the hills occurred. We call that a success around here- win number 2!

Our last test was how they handled the wash. After multiple cycles in the washer, dryer, creek side washing (ok that’s a lie) we noticed the stability of the socks were intact and the functionality we tested earlier was all there too. Done and done. Nice job Wildly Good.

These socks sure made our feet happy and our review an easy one.

STANDOUT FEATURES

The socks we tested already stood out but there were a few things that added an extra level of BAM to the review.

  • The socks are thick enough to keep your feet warm and comfy but also have a breathability to be worn on warmer days

  • The comfort level of these socks were felt all day and in all settings.

  • From kicks to dress shoes, the socks handle any shoe and provide comfort no matter the activity

We can’t wait to get our hands on another pair of these socks. Or should we say our “feet can’t wait”- sorry feet for the oversight.

HOW IT STARTED

I (Christian, founder here) love great socks. I had a habit of buying top of the line socks fit for hiking Mount Everest. The only problem was that I was rarely in the Himalayas - I was too busy enjoying the everyday adventures of short hikes and long days at work. I needed a sock that was lightweight and breathable - and didn’t cost a fortune. I could not find what I was looking for anywhere on the market, so I created my own. I worked closely with a sock manufacturer to create a sock that was made of quality Merino Wool and it was crazy-comfortable. I added features like a padded bottom and arch compression. I wanted to share my new socks with the world so I am building a business selling Wildly Good Socks.
