The All-In-One Desk Lamp to Light Up any Space

How many of us work at a desk? How many work from home? We’d guess most of you answered yes to one of the questions- and we are going to have to assume you voted because we actually can’t see you. But, if you are like us, we are constantly working and using our office workspace, cell phone, and other gadgets to get the job done. So when we found an all in one desk lamp for the crew we felt it best to lighten up your day with our find!

The LumiCharge II is a premium LED Desk Lamp with Universal Phone Dock meant for any guys workstation, office, or even home office. Who doesn’t want a lamp that acts as a charger, has an alarm clock, and can tell you the current temperature? Yeah sounds like something out of a futuristic almanac that Marty McFly had his hands on- but it’s not, because it’s here. Like now, now. Our crew tested it out and found it to be quite the handy office mate.

INITIAL IMPRESSIONS

Right out of the box, the LED desk lamp sure was a sleek and solid looking piece. The round base and slip profile lap portion was a small footprint on the desk, but offered a wide range of use-ability. The lamp features a place to charge your cell phone, features a universal phone dock, and the light can be adjusted to any eye comfort level. The upgraded 2.0 version really brings a new sophistication to the lamp. The LED lighting system contains three different hues and ten levels of brightness, ensuring that you have the lighting that you need for any setting. Features a built-in motion sensor turning a night light ON when you enter a dark room, and the smart LED display conveniently shows you the time, date, day of the week, and temperature. All solid upgrades and features worth geeking out over.

The LumiCharge design and design specs make for a great combination of LED light, phone charger and calander/temperature reader. The sleek design can work on any desk/room vibe, and the touch displays are sleek and sexy.

TESTING IT OUT

Putting the lamp to work was the next step in it’s unboxing. Testing the lamp/charger

-Ease of Use-

The setup for the lamp was rather easy. Open up, plug in, and go. The 10W Wireless Fast Charger & Universal Phone Dock works with any device really, and when we plugged in our iPhones, the charging was immediate and simple. The lamp buttons are all really clear and the customization is no hard feat. We will admit we didn’t read the instructions right away and found we could not turn the alarm off for a few days. So, at 12pm every day the alarm would sound. We found the instructions and easily remedied that. The changing between screen displays, setting the time and adjusting the light tones was very easy and simple. Overall ease of use was fit for any techy or non techy person.

-Functionality-

The version 2.0 has unique smart features that add to it’s functionality! The LED lighting system contains three different hues and ten levels of brightness- so you can go up or down on the light level. We did notice there was a big difference between level one and level 10. The built-in motion sensor does do exactly what it says- in fact, if you move ever so slightly by it in the dark, it will kick on. We noticed the sensitivity level could be improved and even maybe feature a setting on how sensitive this could be in a future release. The smart LED display conveniently shows you the time, date, day of the week, and temperature- and it is a functional piece that really make the lamp shine- no pun intended.

-Practicality-

Ok so the lamp has cool stuff- but is it practical? In short- yes. The more we used the lamp, the more we found it to be a really helpful tool. The ability to consolidate so much into one desk lamp is what any minimal design office would want. No large displays or space, just a sleek and simple design brings all elements one would want to a desk lamp.

LumiCharge II has some really strong and clear standout features- all from design to product practicality. We found a few things really got us pumped:

The minimal impact to any workstation brings not only a clear desk light but other features any office would need/want
The charge options are helpful in giving not only a plug in charge port but a wireless dock as well
The lamp really is bright and not bright- depending on what your illumination heart desires
The price point is a good one considering all that comes standard
