#5. Takeya 50011 Originals Vacuum-Insulated Stainless-Steel Water Bottle

Starting off our list is the Takeya line of water bottles. We like them for the variety and also the lid with and without the straw. We have tried other straw incorporated designs and they leak when rolling around the car seat or accidentally putting it in our travel gear upside down (it was one time ok give us a break). Anyhow, these bottles hold up to their promises. Easy to hold in one hand, flavor of water and coffee didn’t alter because if the lid or straw. Solid choice for a good price point.

  • Leak-proof lid – Easy to open and won’t leak

  • Double-wall design keeps bottles sweat-free Powder coated for sure grip – even when hands are sweaty

  • Vacuum insulation keeps drinks ice cold to help you revive quickly

  • No flavor transfer – switch from pre-workout, to water, to protein shake with no lingering tastes

#4. Simple Modern Summit Water Bottle

We have to be honest- until we started researching bottles, we had not heard of Simple Modern. It blew our mind that over 3k customers rated these bottles on Amazon so high and we had not heard of them. Well, now we have and we have to say duuude! Simply because they have more color variety than a double rainbow- you get it if you get it- and they have one other major selling point: they give back profits to their partners. Super cool. Speaking of cool, we tried these out against these other brands and it held up. In some cases even better but that could be the temperature fluxes. All in all these are a great starter bottle for under $20.

Features via Simple Modern:

  • Vacuum Insulated: Simple Modern licensed drinkware is double walled and vacuum insulated, which keeps your favorite beverage hot or cold for hours

  • Matte Powder Coated 18/8 Stainless Steel:  Bottle is made from premium gauge 18/8 stainless steel and is powder coated in a durable matte finish

  • 2 Lids Included: all bottles come with our Stainless Steel Lid and leak proof Flip Lid

#3. Thermoflask

Not to be confused with another “flask” on our countdown (just wait you’ll see), the Thermoflask is a great starting point for those who don’t want to drop $25+ on a water bottle. For just under $20 you can get a great water bottle that is very similar to its competitors. The part we love most here is when Costco drops a price deal for BYGO. Sorry but deals are everything folks.

Features via Thermoflask:

All ThermoFlask bottles are made of food-grade 18/8 stainless steel and feature a durable powder-coated finish. The lids are made of BPA-Free plastic (PP#5) and feature silicone o-rings to create a leak-proof seal.

#2. YETI Rambler 26oz Vacuum Insulated Stainless Steel Bottle

So close but not our number one, the YETI line of bottles are still a great find. We all got one as gifts and since then we have been buying these for other people's gifts. This might sound lame but one big sell for us is they are dishwasher safe. When your busy and use a water bottle/Rambler like we do, the fact you don’t have to spend time washing by hand is huge. It is super easy to grip, fits in any cup holder, and is not very heavy considering how durable it is.

Features via YETI:

  • Tough bottle is double-wall vacuum insulated to keep your water cold (or coffee hot) until the last sip and comes with a TripleHaul™ Cap.

  • Rambler Bottles are available in stainless and DuraCoat™ Colors that won’t fade, peel, or crack.

  • Dishwasher safe

  • Cup Holder friendly

Price: Starts at $19.99

#1. Hydro Flask Water Bottle

Our hands down favorite water bottle goes to HydroFlask. We battle tested this by leaving in our car all day (while it was hot AF outside), and guess what? Our water was still drinkable. No it wasn’t as cold as it was when started but it held up to that. It was dropped a few times and minor dings if any, and the best thing of all is it fits easily everywhere- cup holder, desk, backpack storage- you name it, it just fits.

Features via HydroFlask:

  • Wide Mouth opening for faster fill and flow

  • TempShield™ insulation eliminates condensation and keeps beverages cold up to 24 hours and hot up to 12 hours

  • Durable 18/8 Pro-Grade Stainless Steel construction

  • BPA-Free and Phthalate Free

  • Industry-standard wide mouth opening fits many third-party water filters

  • Compatible with our Wide Mouth Straw Lid and Hydro Flip™ Lid

  • Lifetime Warranty
