Bearbottom Clothing Joggers

Do you even jog bro? Ok so it may not have the same ring as the old “do you lift” saying goes but it’s a fair question when considering nabbing a pair of joggers. Here’s the kicker: the answer doesn’t even matter. Why? Because whether you jog or not, the crew over at Bearbottom clothing have designed a line of joggers that anyone could and want to wear- regardless of fitness levels. While the style of joggers have been around for a while, the modern take on these classics have become a dude’s must have wardrobe addition.
So what makes a pair of joggers so desirable? Is it the taper leg fit design? Is it the soft feel of the material? Is it the fact that you can literally throw on a pair and head out while still looking stylish? We’d probably guess it’s all the above, which is why a pair of legit joggers need to include the classic key elements along with a modern twist for today’s challenges.
Here is where Bearbottom comes in. The crew sent us a pair of their joggers for the ultimate duuude review. How did they measure up? Well, that’s none of your business (we are private about our sizing ok?). While private about our sizes we are not shy at giving over the juicy rundown (see what we did there) on how they did in our ultimate jogger review.
INITIAL IMPRESSIONS
First we had to mention that our initial discussion with the crew at Bearbottom clothing was awesome. They asked some basic sizing questions to ensure we received their best pair and they were awesome to simply work with- ok now onto the pants.
Our crew was shipped a pair of Bearbottom’s Black Stretch Joggers to test out. When we first received the package, we were impressed by the packaging itself. The pants came in a cardboard box with the labeling on the outside and our pants secured inside. The crew tossed in some cool stickers, a key chain (bottle opener) and our joggers.
When we unboxed then joggers they looked like, well, joggers. The material was smooth and sleek and lightweight. If you’ve ever worn or still wear a pair of popular “chino” style pants, these weighed and felt about the same. The coloring of the pants were a dark black as promised and yet while the tag says they are machine washable, we had our doubts the color would uphold after a few washes. We for sure wanted to test that out (we cover that later). The peach like texture finish was a cool aspect and the taper finish with elastic band was a solid design element.
Our overall initial impression: we already feel more athletic and stylish.
TESTING IT OUT
Ok now the ultimate test: we wanted to try out the Bearbottom Stretch Joggers and are just what all the buzz was about. Our crew scratched our heads over how would we test these out and give it a good solid review. Sure we could go “jogging” in them but who would do that? I mean, that seems obvious right? No, we needed something more legit to give this a full experience of a review. Eureka! We had it- our crew decided we would hit the streets of San Francisco and head down to Market Street.
We decided that the ultimate test would include:
Hit Market Street and walk 2 miles from one part of Market to the other
Run back (ok jog) from the ending point back to our starting point (another 2 miles)
NOT wash them and wear them the next day for an entire day of meetings and gatherings
Wash them- 4x in a row.
Dry them after each wash
Wear them out again
We did all this in a weekend to see just how much the pants would withstand and what we were getting for a bit more pricey pair of joggers on the market.
Sparing you the boring details of the entire experience we will highlight the findings.
First, the feel of the pants on the walk and jog were amazing. Soft and comfortable walking and jogging were a breeze. The 4-way stretch design gave freedom to move freely and gave flexibility in all the right ways. The elastic waistband was the perfect design element as we didn’t need a belt and carried both a cell phone and a wallet in the pants the entire time. The walk/jog result: crushed it.
Second, the fabric construction of 97% cotton and 3% spandex was a great blend for the activities we engaged in. The pants tubular construction upheld the walk but really upheld the washing and drying. After the wear and use, throwing these in the machine as many times as we did had us nervous the color would fade, the fit would be altered, heck we even thought we may damage the durability. We were shocked- the pants look and feel/wear the exact same as day one out of the box. No joke they look brand new. The machine wash test: stood the test of spin cycle.
Third, and some argue the most important: the smell. When you sweat in over 4 miles of movement in a pair of pants, you’d assume they would smell like a men’s locker room. Well, spoiler alert- they didn’t stink. Like at all. How do we know? Well, we smelled our own pants after and we even asked some close peeps if we smelled. They shot us some interesting looks but all unanimously said “not more than you usually do.” We chalk that up to a “W.” No stench after all that wear (before the washing) has us sold. The stench test: breathe it all in folks.
After all is said and done, these stretch joggers were legit. They stood up to our test and gave us hope that joggers like these can be a staple in any duuudes wardrobe for years to come.
STANDOUT FEATURES
The joggers alone are pretty great but there were a few areas our crew thought stood out:

The materials used are by no means cheap and gimmicky- they are durable and designed with intention
