T-shirts used to be that “cheap” wardrobe find that you’d put little thought into when tossing in the shopping cart before you make your way over to the “nicer shirts.” T-shirts used to be the apparel item that you’d wear during the day, before, you get dressed up for a night out. Well folks, toss out everything you thought about T-Shirts (toss the actual shirts out too), because the crew at GoodLife Clothing have made the freaking smoothest, dopest, most comfortable T-Shirts we’ve tested.

Our crew gave the shirts their best shot at testing if the GoodLife vibes were as legit as promised.

INITIAL IMPRESSIONS

When we unpacked the box of 4 shirts from GoodLife Clothing, we instantly felt our current T-shirts feeling a coming eviction notice. We found 4 different colors including Navy Blue, Light Heather Grey, Dark Grey, and White. Each shirt right out of the packaging was soft and felt lightweight yet strong. The combination of 50% supima and 50% modal material is a perfect blend for comfort and breath-ability. The shirt cuts were on point with the “scallop” look where it’s a bit longer in length on front and back, with higher cut line around waist sides. 

The initial “try on” of the shirts were soft and form fitting in all the right spots. The arms were tight enough to hug our arms but the chest and stomach portions of the shirt were perfectly fit to a comfortable, roomy, yet not extremely baggy.

We loved the initial wear of the material and quality- right out of the box these were a hit.

TESTING IT OUT

Now the fun part- our duuude crew test. The shirt arrived in perfect timing for a weekend trip to Los Angeles for a concert. We washed each shirt first to see what the shirts did after a bit of laundry abuse. After an initial wash and low tumble dry, the shirt material still felt just as comfortable as before. The neck seam held strong and the length and fit stayed true. No shrinkage (ain’t nobody got time for that), no fading, and no stretched or worn looks- just the same way we found them out of the box.

The Fit: Chest/Arms

The fit around the arms and chest were probably the best we have tried. Our crew doesn’t look like The Rock, but we also don’t look like Bart Simpson. So suffice it to say the shirts were perfect around our arms and the chest area. Not too snug to where it was like shoving sausage meat into a sleeve, but just snug enough to feel fit in the right spots. 

The Fit: Waistline

Sometimes the shirt game can be perfect in the chest and arms but too snug in the waist. Ya know, that crunch up look or the snug like a wetsuit fit. Not here. The waistline fit was perfect. Room to where the shirt could easily stay uncrunched and felt roomy enough to live around in the shirt while it stays full length and un-constricted. Solid fit.

The Fit: Length

The length of these shirts couldn’t be anymore perfect. They nicely hang in front right past the belt line (on a 6’ crew member) and the sides are cut just a tad higher. The scallop length is on point and adds an elevation to the shirt game to dress up or down- no matter what adventure lies ahead.

The trio of chest, waist, and length is great and right on point.

STANDOUT FEATURES

These shirts are so on point that we have a hard time not saying everything about them is a standout feature. But, it doesn’t hurt to point out some of the key aspects that take these shirts to top notch status:

• The shirt materials are great for washing and taking care of- without funky steps or rules 

• The color options are vast- darker blue’s to even white, no matter the color preference they have them!

• The cut and fit is so perfect, it’s hard to not wear these shirts and these shirts only

• The feel is something we can’t really explain- lightest most durable and comfortable shirt we have thrown on in 2020
