INITAL IMPRESSIONS

The inspiration for the Matador Meggings comes from the OGs of men’s leggings: matadors, aka bullfighters. Matadors are hyper-masculine but also emotional figures who needed tight-fitting pants that wouldn’t slow them down. Speed and agility are non-negotiable—and neither is looking badass. So, they took a page from the history books—and added their own: men’s leggings for today’s matador. No matter what bull you’re fighting or what bullshit you’re putting up with, these meggings are ready for battle (and the gym, yoga, festivals, parties, Sunday brunch—ANYTHING!

With men-specific details (even an open pocket for your phone, a zipper pocket for your valuables, an inner drawstring for extra security, and a t-shirt/towel loop to make these meggings even more functional), these leggings, excuse us, “meggings” are the fit we need for 2022. Because if men are going to wear spandex, they better have a f*cking purpose…or three, right?

Right out of the box these meggings were a must have/must wear workout addition. The material feel was soft and comfortable, the features like zip pocket for valuable, the slot for our phones, even the soft cup was a welcomed aspect of these men-focused meggings. The construction seemed solid and not so thick that it would make us regret putting them on!

Our initial duuude impression: Where them bulls at? We’re ready to rumble.

TRYING THEM OUT

Right out of the package and onto ours (see what we did there), our crew slide into a pair of these comfy meggings and tested and ranked these undies on their overall Construction, Material Quality, and Feel/Wearability.

Construction 

The Soft crotch cup conceals your “boys” and the Inner drawstring keeps your leggings snug; higher back rise avoids any "crack-ccidents.” We’d say these were constructed with perfection. No weird lines, not odd cramping- just great overall design. The added Open pocket for your phone, zipper pocket for your valuables and Shirt loop at the back to carry your shirt or towel really were thought out and designed with a guy in mind. We dug the overall construction of these meggings!

Material Quality

Quality is key. And with Matador’s Performance fabric featuring featherweight, sweat-wicking, 4-way stretch, polyester & lycra blend, these leggings have the material quality any pseudo-matador would want or desire. No cheap material here folks.

Feel/wearability 

Here is where the review really takes form. Our crew slide into a pair of meggings and hit the gym. We then hit the couch, and then they hit the washer. After a wash, and a fry they then hit the body again and the town. To and from the office, the gym, the couch to the fridge, then back to the couch- the feel stayed the same: COMFY AF. No joke. They love with you, don’t construct the junk, and best of all are the same wash after wash.

With regards to sizing, you can check out the sizing options offered by Matador Meggings to find the right size of meggings or compression shorts to go with. Our crew for the most part are in the 6 foot tall range and typically wear a medium to large size in general. We suggest going to a Large for some added room but if snug and firm fitting is your style a medium range would do the trick!
