The Wash “Less” Shirt is Here-Unbound Merino
Who has time to stink or sweat?
Laundry stinks. Well, to be frank it double stinks because clothes in the washer usually smell (that is how they got there, right?) and it takes up our valuable time. Not only is laundry day the worst, it also takes a legit shirt or underwear out of the rotation. Ya feel? With Unbound Merino’s superfine, premium Merino wool (which has been specifically developed to stand up to the rigors of travel and everyday life), the wash-less shirt has finally made it into the lineup. This is fabric designed to take you places- and not weigh you down with stinky pits, need for ironing, or washing after each wear.
Every Merino wool fiber has a waxy coating called Lanolin, which helps wick moisture away from your body, and act as a safeguard against odor-causing bacteria. This is what allows Merino to stay breathable and dry while smelling and feeling fresh, no matter what you put it through. So naturally, our crew wanted to test out a few pieces from Unbound Merino and see how they fit and felt. We were shipped a few item to test and try out. INITAL IMPRESSIONS
Is it weird it be impressed by a shirt’s packaging and box? Well, we sure were. Call us simple, but the packaging of the shirts, socks, and underwear made us feel fancy AF. The smooth feel, crisp folds, and box that contained our new wool lineup was sleek. It was after we opened our boxed items that we dug into the details of Unbound Merino’s all wool lineup. Each item features these main elements:

This wool isn’t like your typical itchy sweater. Merino only use superfine Merino wool, resulting in a luxuriously silky soft shirt that’s lighter and much softer than the average Merino or cotton shirt.

DOESN’T WRINKLE
Each Merino wool fiber resembles a tight coiled spring, which when pulled recoils back into shape. It’s this elasticity that gives our Merino clothes their luxurious-feeling stretch. It also makes it so that you can toss one of our shirts into your backpack and it’ll be good to go when you need it.
REGULATES YOUR TEMPERATURE

TRYING THEM OUT
Right out of the box and straight onto our bodies, we dove feet, arms, head- you name it- right into the apparel and tested and ranked these undies on their overall Construction, Material Quality, and Feel/Wearability.
Construction
The construction of the shirts, socks, underwear- all the items- were top notch. We were skeptical of a wool shirt in the summer month review- but the anti-odor, temperature regulating, fast drying and anti-wrinkle construction is unlike any wool made apparel we have tested. The sew lines were clean, the material was above high-end quality, and the overall simple construction design (no godly logos to be found), made this all black shirt, socks, and underwear the try-on of the summer.

Material Quality
Quality is key. When it comes to the material used Unbound Merino, it does not get any better. This wool isn’t like your typical itchy sweater. Unbound Merino only use superfine Merino wool, resulting in a luxuriously silky soft shirt that’s lighter and much softer than the average Merino or cotton shirt.

No joke, right out of the box we threw it on, went out to a nice dinner, and it felt like we were so comfortable we almost moved into the restaurant.

Feel/wearability
What good is a shirt, socks, underwear- any apparel, if the feel is not right? We do not buy or try shirts just for the looks in a box- we want to make sure they feel and wear great. Well, these do. Even after several washes (ok listen we washed them to test out how to wash wool, ok?)….anyhow, no matter the activity the feel is still as soft, comfortable, and clean looking as the first time. The fit is perfect, plenty of room right where it needs to be, and is not all boxy or clunky…which we love.
