Our crew wanted to try out the WOLACO brand to see how their compression shorts held up in the active community that is our crew.
INITAL IMPRESSIONS
When our crew checked out the athletic apparel from WOLACO we were impressed by the sleek and simple yet effective lineup of athletic apparel. WOLACO doesn’t flood your face with thousands of products- rather they feature their simple brand offerings to help you cover your bottom and top so you can focus on the workout and not what apparel to go with what. The WOLACO brand features shorts, pants, and tops that are designed around any athlete.
For those not familiar with WOLACO- here is the short of it (no pun intended): WOLACO makes compression shorts that fit all mobile devices in the compression pocket, lands high on the thigh, helps to store valuables (like keys), and are perfectly crafted for running.
Right out of the box these shorts were perfect. The shorts featured a Two sweat-proof compression pocket design and Anti-pilling fabric durability. Made with 88% polyester and 12% spandex fabric content- the moisture wicking fabric fiber helps to shed water while you shred the game. no chemical coatings for performance longevity. We loved the Luxe nylon elastic waistband and length of the shorts on our body.

TRYING THEM OUT
Initial go at the shorts were a hit. But now the real test- how do the shorts hold up against the elements of working out, running, and general moving around the city/office? We are talking the key focus points that any short wearing guy wants to know about: Construction, Material Quality, and Feel/Wearability.
Construction
The construction of these shorts are well thought out, researched and made. The anti-piling fabric, and moisture wicking features showcase the quality materials used in its development. The waistband is durable enough to withstand the movement in any workout and the stretching on and off your body.

Material Quality
Quality is key. When it comes to the material used in shorts, the quality can be a difference maker. We’ve all had those shorts you washed once after wearing it or worked out in and it shrunk a size after, started pulling apart in the sew lines and never felt the same. Hate that. On the other hand, the quality found in these shorts are some of the most comfortable and durable at the same time. We washed it like the care instructions say and guess what?- the shorts look and feel the same as it did day one! Mind blown.
Material Rating: 9/10
Feel/wearability
Here is where the rubber meets the road- or in this case the shorts meets the skin. Huh? Whatever, look, the feel of a shorts while working out matters. Our crew tossed on the shorts and wore them out and about before our workouts. The shorts felt great. Once we started working out, the flexibility and movement range was there- without constriction. Whether we were running, doing squats, even circuit training, the shorts moved along with us (and yes our cell phones stayed in place).
Feel/Wearability Rating: 10/10
Our crew dug the shorts and would say they’re one of the more comfortable compression shorts we have ever tested.
STANDOUT FEATURES
What stands out to most does not always stand out to all- for us, some of the standout features that we found with WOLACO were around the innovative design. The ability to mix and match comfort with compression and a place to store your valuables is game changing. The fact that the shorts can do the trick yet keep you feeling free while working out is a solid move in 2021.
