Men’s fragrances have always been burned into our minds as the gauntlet at the mall, where you walk through the headache producing smells of all those “colognes” out there. People, it is 2023 and men need a better way to smell fresh on the regular. Fulton and Roark is just that solution that all guys should get their hands on! We know for most guys we are hesitant to spend money on fragrances. Why spend money on this stuff, right? We felt the same way- we have not bought a cologne or any other “fragrance” since high school. Gone are the days of AXE body sprays and spray on colognes. In 2023, guys need a better solution- and one we will actually use each day to take care of our skin and also smell fresh while doing so. Fulton and Roark figured it out: give guys legit smells and easy ways to incorporate it into our morning routine. We all need soap, some fresh oil (for your beard or hair), and a stick of deodorant. INITIAL IMPRESSION

Our crew started off with Fulton and Roark’s “The Total Package, in Sterling and Kiawah: A Formula 5 Oil, Bar Soap, Deodorant, and Solid Fragrance”

Kicking off the morning routine with their Bar Soap. It's long-lasting, triple-milled, and designed to nourish your skin while providing gentle exfoliation for it. Then, follow up with the Inspired Deodorant: it's a powerful aluminum-free formula that glides on easily and provides great protection. Formulated with the same scents featured in the solid fragrances, this deodorant won’t just leave you smelling fresh, but you will feel clean all day, too!  Lastly, drop some "pizzazz" with the Formula 5 Oil. The Formula 5 Oil has several different uses:

• It can act as a shave oil (pre, during and after)

• Low hold hair styling product to tame flyaways

• Beard oil, as well as a moisturizer (skin and scalp)

Finally, dab on the Solid Fragrance, and you're all set! Each Solid fragrance allows you to apply just enough so that those closest to them notice, but never the entire room. TESTING IT OUT

No better way to test out a skin/hair/body care lineup than heading to the bathroom…

For 30 days our crew tested out the Fulton and Roark products and various scents to compare the prior results before using them. While after the 30 days, we barely had product left (you get quite the amount with each order which we like), we did not have any lingering doubt out the legitimacy of these products.

Solid Fragrance- Sterling

Aromatic Tobacco complemented with notes of Leather and rich Vanilla

HOW TO USE

To apply it, just swipe your fingers across the wax and apply a small amount to your wrists and neck.

WHAT MAKES IT DIFFERENT

Sterling is a homage to the rich and complex fragrance that is tobacco, and F&R spent more than a year getting the formulas just right. The aromatic blend opens with warm and sweet tobacco, which gives way to smooth leather and is completed with notes of dark amber and vanilla. The resulting fragrance is assertive but not aggressive.

We dabbed a little on our necks before heading out to a party and we kid you not people kept commenting on the subtle yet welcoming scent. We noticed it lasted all day and we didn’t even know we had it on (felt good putting on). The scent carries with you and is soft and not overpowering

Hop in shower, get the bar wet, lather up, and wash your body

We would venture to say soap is the most widely used men’s grooming product in the shower and the Sterling scent is THE BEST blend of smells we have tested. Just after one wash with this soap, we noticed softer skin, solid aromas all day long, and a clean feeling we needed after the weeks we had at the office. 30 days of use we feel like brand new men. Solid and well blended. Perfect smell and hit the nose like a welcomed slap in the face.

Sterling Deodorant

Powerful aluminum-free deodorant with premium fragrance notes of Aromatic Tobacco, Leather, and rich Vanilla.

HOW TO USE

Unscrew the top, apply under arm-pit, hit the road.

Stank be gone. This deodorant goes on smooth and lasts all day. Gone are the days of deodorant marks on the shirt, or that gross feeling the next day in the shower. This goes on like butter and doesn’t leave that weird residue behind. Scents again are on point and not too overwhelming! Just like we like it.

Twist off the top, turn upside down, and shake a few drops into your hand (or directly on a comb if you so desire)- apply to beard, face, or any spot that needs a bit of moisture.

One of the great paradoxes of men’s grooming lies in taking care of your beard or any other hair for that matter. If you do a great job grooming it, no one will notice your work. But if you do not take care of it, people will think you woke up under a bridge before work. That’s why the Formula 5 Oil can make all of your beard grooming efforts look, well…effortless. We dabbed a little on our comb and ran it through our beard- boy did it do the trick. Smooth but not that oily residue many beard oils leave behind.
