Bring JOI into the Kitchen

EnJOI Milk in a whole new way.

We love milk. Yes, we admit it. Milk for dayyyzzz up in here. We like milk in our coffee, over our cereal, in a tall glass (and short too of course). If it can take milk, we will take IT. But when we found out milk we buy at the store is 98% water and costs what it does- we utterly upset. So, we went looking for an alternative- and we found JOI- a milk alternative disrupting the carton game one concentrate at a time.

We get what you are thinking- “Milk concentrate? are you nuts?” Well, sort of yes because with JOI, you can grab a jar of concentrated almond, cashew, and oat milk varieties to make some of the best tasting milk at home (or in the office). JOI has reimagined plant milk by creating concentrates made of 100% plants. Yes, plants. Just add water- and enjoy less packaging, less waste, more flavor, and more savings back in your wallet. One could even call JOI a Cash Cow.

Our crew grabbed hold of a few of the JOI’s concentrate to a taste test. Glasses up!

INITIAL IMPRESSIONS

For starters, JOI brings more flavor with less waste. Each JOI jar provides more servings per container, reducing roughly 85% of packaging waste with jars, and up to 96% with pails! The minimal, quality, whole ingredients without relying on gums, fillers and additives to "bind" or "bulk” the milk makes each sip even more flavorful. JOI also delivers naturally long shelf lives by using ingredients without the use of preservatives or required refrigeration. You have the freedom to make plant milk whenever you want, however much you want, and just the way you like it! Sayyy what?

What a lineup of alternatives. Simple ingredients, simple mixing process, and simple yet flavorful options, JOI knows their milk game.

Our initial duuude impression: Pour us a Glass of JOI!

TESTING IT OUT

Our crew had to try all the flavors of JOI- It would be wrong of us not to dip and dive into this goodness just once. JOI offers 3 main staple flavors, 2 in a Jar and one in a powder pouch.

You can’t go wrong with JOI. Make as much as you want, when you want, and EXACTLY how you want it. They recommend using 1 tablespoon of JOI for every 1 cup of water for everyday plant milk. Like it creamier? Just add more JOI!

Almond Milk Base

INGREDIENTS:

  • Almond Milk Base: Blanched almonds. Cashew Milk Base: Cashews. That’s it.

The flagship Milk Base is made of just one ingredient: blanched California almonds. Using the entire nut (minus the skin), you benefit from all the natural protein, fat and fiber of whole almonds. Blend with water for a clean label almond milk in seconds. Great in smoothies, paired with coffee, or for vegan baking and desserts.

Our crew mixed it up- and found that we like a little more JOI to water ratio. So we added more. Dang. This was delicious. No weird concentrate finish or taste. The simple flavor was there, was well balanced, and easy to make. We simply shook up the container with milk and a few tablespoons and had ourselves a nice tasty treat.

Highlights:

  • Delicious flavor

  • Easy to mix

  • Perfect in Coffee vs traditional creamer

Cashew Milk Base

INGREDIENTS

  • Cashews. That’s it.

Enjoy a delicious and nutritious fresh 100% cashew milk with the Cashew Milk Base. Cashews are exceptionally versatile and this base is perfect to go beyond milk for use in vegan cheese, sauce and ice cream recipes.

We loved this one too. Cashew milk is not our traditional go-to but now we are fans. Much creamier than other milk flavors we are used too- but hey, when in Rome right? Well balanced flavor and smooth finish. Perfect taste in coffee or other mixes.

Highlights:

  • Much creamer than other mixes

  • Perfect for those who like coffee creamer thicker

  • Perfect blend and finish in just a glass

OAT Milk Powder

The future of Oat Milk has arrived folks. JOI’s Organic Oat Milk Powder is made with just one ingredient - organic, gluten free and sustainably sourced oats - and packaged in a compostable pouch. The result: an oat milk product that makes it easy being green (and vegan). No oils, no gums or emulsifiers. Just all natural oats. Mix with water for a truly delicious milk.

This pouch went faster than the Flash. No joke, we mixed the whole thing up with water and it was consumed like we were all dying of thirst. Perfect for casual sipping or mixing in a milkshake, dippin’ Oreos- whatever your pleasure, this milk needs to be there.
