How to Clean Your AirPod’s
Whatcha got in those Pods?
Everybody in their brother has headphones or some form of AirPods in their ears-not to mention other stuff. Yuck. Don’t get stuck with the Yuck. Cleaning your AirPod (or other headphone devices) can be an easy process and we promise you won’t gag. Don’t let nasty lint, ear-wax, dirt, or other grime stop those jams from jamming and your beats from beating. Clean up those AirPods with our 2 minute how to read.
WHATCHA NEED:
-AirPods (or other form of headphones)
-ToothPick
-Tact Mounting Putty- like this $2 one on Amazon
INSTRUCTIONS:
Step 1: Step one starts off with taking the AirPods (and case) and lightly blowing on them to loosen up any easy-to-rid of/ dirt or build up. Don’t think you need to go all “blow the house down”, as you do not want to jam stuff in the AirPods
Step 2: Take a little chunk of the Tact Mounting Putty and ball it up into the size 2x bigger than the AirPod mesh section or other mesh section of the headphones you are cleaning.
Step 3: Press the Tact Putting into the mesh section, then quickly pull it off/away from the headphones. Look at all that junk.
Step 4: Repeat Step 3 with new putty as long as you see the junk you want to rid your headphones of. Do not jam it in there- it will not help and may not come out
Step 5: Turn the AirPod upside down (so the mesh is facing the ground). Let gravity help, and using a toothpick, lightly pluck any other fragments out that you can easily dislodge.
Step 6: Repeat any of the above as long as your heart desires.
Step 7: Rock on.
duuude TIP:
If you don’t have a toothpick handy, you can use the tip of a safety pin. Don’t pluck too hard, because you don’t want to break or damage any of the mesh portions of the AirPods. DO NOT use water on these as it could damage them and render your music playing enjoyment null.
