What 12 Hours in BRUNT Work Boots Felt Like at Days End: Review
Stepping Up Your Comfort Game with Brunt Work Wear
When it comes to work wear, having a reliable and comfortable pair of boots is essential. BRUNT Work Wear understands this, and has created a line of boots that are built to meet the demands of any job. The Marin Soft Toe Boot is a prime example of the brand's commitment to comfort, durability, and safety. Whether you're a construction worker, warehouse employee, or simply in need of a tough and dependable boot, the BRUNT Work Wear Marin Soft Toe is a great choice. In this review, we will explore the features and benefits of these boots, and why they are a top choice for anyone looking for a high-quality work boot, and what they ACTUALLY feel like on your feet all day.
Our crew wanted test out the BRUNT lineup of boots so we dove feet-first into their most popular selling boot: The Marin. We took the pair of boots, slide them on, and wore them for a solid 12 hours to see what our feet felt like after a full wear-day.
After a full 12 hours in the boot- right out of the box mind you- our crew had some interesting finds and takeaways which we dive into in this review. Let’s get started!
INITAL IMPRESSIONS
From the moment we took the BRUNT Work Wear boots out of the box, we were impressed by their solid construction and stylish design. The soft toe and non-slip sole are clear indications of the brand's commitment to comfort and safety, while the rugged leather exterior gives the boots a tough, no-nonsense, “let’s get after it appearance”. Despite their rugged look, the boots were incredibly lightweight and flexible, making them easy to wear for long periods of time. Overall, our initial impressions of the BRUNT Work Wear Marin Soft Toe boots were extremely positive, and we were eager to see how they would perform on the job/12 hour workday.
The Marin has gained a following among professionals ranging from project managers to electricians for its versatile comfort and time-honored look. Constructed with durability in mind, this boot is equipped to handle the demands of any working environment. For those who spend long hours on their feet, the Marin delivers the necessary comfort and support to tackle any task at hand. What is unique about the Marin Boot is the weatherproof exterior is paired with the comfort of a regular shoe inside as the triple-layer insole delivers a soft yet support cushion for your feet.
Our initial duuude impression: BRUNT packs the 1-2 comfort and construction punch.
TRYING THEM OUT
When it comes to trying a pair of boots out, it makes sense see how the shoe holds up in the elements- and where we tested these boots it was a blend of frigid morning conditions, wet walkways, uneasy terrain, and vast walking space in between locations. All of which made for a great “all-day” test.
RUBBER-SKINNED SOLE
First off- the shoe Rubber Skinned sole is a game changer with durability of a tank but weight of a butterfly. The midsole has an important job—minimize impact on your body without weighing you down. The carefully selected rubber foam material for the shoe’s midsole helps by making it more lightweight, shock-absorbing and durable than alternative materials.
Sole Rating: 10/10
SHOCK-ABSORBING MIDSOLE
Ok so the sole can look nice but how does it handle the weight of the person in the shoe. This literally is where the rubber meets the road. These boots come with a premium rubber-skinned sole that feature both oil and slip resistance. Leading the industry with this design, you get a solid grip and traction- no matter the surfaces- for a longer period of time.
Shock Absorption Rating: 9/10
ADJUSTABLE WIDTH
Here is where we found the boot to be a game-changer. The adjustable width. Some boots are one size and that “must” fit all. Not here. Below the insole, BRUNT added a removable gray insert that can take your boot from a regular fit (D) to relaxed fit (EE). So, if you have a wider foot, or just prefer more room, this boot will fit you like a glove. When we went to size up our insoles it could not have been easier. Slip in and out and that is literally it. No fancy math or steps. Just comfort.
Fit Rating: 10/10
In the Elements
Here is where the rubber meets the road- wearing these boots to and from any outdoor conditions were a breeze. We started the early morning with a walk to and from the building to car, etc. in rain and in rather cold conditions. The boots were in fact waterproof and kept the frigid air out of our soles and toes. We could not tell we were walking in anything other than solid dry terrain even when we knew it was not those conditions. The waterproofing is in fact waterproof and the interior sole fit perfectly when moving around throughout the day as often as we do.
After putting the Brunt Work Wear boots to the test for a full 12 hours, we can confidently say that these boots are designed for both comfort and durability. From the job site to the warehouse, the Marin Soft Toe boots proved to be a reliable choice for those in need of a sturdy work boot. With a soft toe for added comfort and a non-slip sole for added safety, these boots are perfect for any type of manual labor.
Elements Rating: 10/10
Our crew dug the boots and would say they’re some of the most comfortable boots we have ever worn. After 12 hours in the boot we can say our feet did not ache or have any “adjustment” pains to the new boots.

BRAND INFO
We built BRUNT Workwear for workers, with workers.
BRUNT is reinventing the workwear category, starting from the ground up with work boots and apparel. First, we spent a lot of time working side-by-side with my buddies in the trades obsessing over how to develop products and solutions that make real workers' lives easier; so you can focus your time and energy on the things that matter at work, and ignore the things that don’t. Next, we then solved workwear’s biggest problem – unnecessary retail store mark-ups that take your hard-earned money right out of your pocket. By selling directly to you online, we cut out the retail mark-ups - all the store rent, utilities, and other costs that come with them.
