Leovici Lands (the shirts) in L.A.
Summer is calling and they want their shirt back. That shirt that fits their body like a glove, is super soft, and comes in styles only fit for those who want to live the elevated shirt life (without having to pay the high price tag.) Well, we don’t know what is going on between you and “Summer” but we do know the shirt that fits both the season and the moment can be found from a new shirt company on the scene: Leovici.
While Leovici is new to the scene (as of 2019), the team behind the brand are not newbies to fashion, design, quality, and style (we cover that in the Brand Section at the end of the review if you can wait for it)… Our crew wanted to get our hands on some of their product to see how they felt, wore, and could elevate our summer wardrobe game. The team at Leovici sent us some of their top sellers and we hit the streets with their gear in tow (and on bodies).
INITIAL IMPRESSIONS
Initial impressions go a long way. The crew at Leovici know how to make a solid first impression. The duuudes who we connected with were passionate about their brand and were confident in going head to head with other apparel (specifically shirts) we reviewed in the past. Their crew sent our crew 3 of their best sellers for the review:
The Hoodie
A good hoodie is a must have- all season long. Now if you live in 105 degree heat- you may want to go without the hoodie during the day, but if you’re roaming LA or heading to NYC- a hoodie is pinnacle of classic American comfort. The Leovici Hoodie has double-needle stitching at shoulder, armhole, neck, waistband and cuffs. We liked the double-lined composition for added warmth and protection against the elements. The hoodies have dual color matched drawstring pulls for ease in tightening/loosening the hood as needed. We hate loose and sloppy cuffs- and with Leovici we rested easy knowing these had 1x1 spandex-ribbed cuffs and waistband for no sloppy Bill Belichick looks (ya’ll know what we mean). The fit is true to size so order what you most often wear.
The Pocket/Logo T-Shirts
A pocket and a T walked into a bar. Ok that was lame. These pocket shirts are not. With a combination of luxurious fabric with elevated details this shirt has a feel and weight too it we have never worn before. Made from 90% Rayon and 10% Spandex, the Leovici T-Shirt feels comfortable, durable, and has a silky soft hand feel. The cut is slim-fitted, tailored to scoop on the front and higher cut around hips- the perfect cut for a duuude.
The Scooped T-Shirt
So what is the scoop? Is that a trick question?- Listen if you are wearing any cut shirt in 2020, its the scoop. Leovici made theirs with 100% organic cotton and a waffle texture that offers breathability and a tailored look all in one. Looking for a t-shirt you can wear any day of the week? This one could make it in the wardrobe mix. Looser fit than the other offerings by Leovici- the size up may be the right fit for you.

The initial quality, feel, and texture of the shirts was a refreshing addition to our wardrobe. While we have not reviewed a material quite as smooth yet silky (and a bit heavier in composition)- it was nice to try on something of a different variety when reviewing men’s shirts.

TESTING IT OUT
Trying a shirt/hoodie is like going on a date- high expectations/excitement yet can go 2 different ways. Like this picture: we have high hopes for them. But onto the review (the reason you came here)…
Our crew tested each shirt/hoodie as we do with all our apparel by wearing it (and trying to wear it out). When you choose a shirt/hoodie, you want to know the initial quality lasts and the same shirt you opened on a Monday is the same shirt you put back on after washing it on a Thursday. So how does the Leovici line stack up?
Quality
The quality is there. Simply put- the feel and texture of the shirt screams quality. The silky feeling, the simple wight of the shirt, and the hem/sew lines are representative of quality. Now we must admit- the shirts do feel a bit more heavy than a standard cotton shirt or lighter material some brands are selling. But the weighted feel grows on you if you are not yet used to it. Our crew found ourselves constantly going back to feel the shirt, wear the shirt, and affirming that the shirt was one of the more unique pieces we have tested.
Feel
Tell us how you feel- ok that question was meant for the shirt. But since you asked, we would say the variety of materials used by Leovici offers some options for those who prefer one feel over the other. The Scooped T-Shirt was more of a traditional cotton feeling shirt, with a warmer element to the material. The waffle material felt like a pair of long johns had a baby with a smooth cotton shirt- it was a nice blend for any weather. The “logo” shirt had more of a silky yet heavy feel to it- it conformed to our bodies like it was made to fit our exact shape- which if you don’t mind showing some of what you’re working with under the hood- this shirt will accent those features well. The hoodie was extremely warm and comfortable. The interior material felt super soft and smooth- while the outer part of the hoodie was more tactile and “element ready.” The feel of each item has its differences- but hey, life without variety is just plain boring.
Value
Who are we to tell you how you place value on things? We may not know how you define this, but for our crew we look at price point + quality / washing it a boat load of times x wearing it a lot = is this shirt/item a value to grab? While our math problem doesn’t make a lick of sense we can tell you what does: The Leovici shirts were worn out to the office, worn while working on indoor/outdoor projects, to bed, to a dinner with friends (yes we did get a table in this pandemic) and we found the price for the shirt and how well it handled the daily use = a solid value to have in your lineup.
