INITIAL IMPRESSIONS
Initial impressions are everything- at first. When our crew was sent the Coyote Tan 3-Way Brief Bag we instantly dug the color choice of the bag. The size of the bag was on point coming in at 19” wide and 13” in height. The capacity rating on the brief is around 20L, and if you are unfamiliar with how this sizing rating works, here is a quick run down:
Bag sizing now is how many “Liters” the bag can hold of your stuff. 20L means this bag can hold up to about 20L of your gear from laptops, to shirts, pants, and a change of drawers. 20L is usually around enough for a day trip, maybe an overnight trip.
Now that we are all caught up with sizing-let’s move on! The body. The bag’s body composition is solid as is is sturdy. This bag uses 1000 denier Dupont Cordura Nylon construction with a water-resistant Urethane coating. The lining is 420 denier Packcloth Nylon with a water-resistant Urethane coating, Heavy Military Mesh, Military Spacer.
When our crew started initially opening the brief, accessing the inner parts of the bag, and started manipulating the zippered compartments and outer straps, we were impressed the the initial feel of quality and durability. The zippers were smooth and sleek, the track for each zipper zipped seamlessly, and the locations and design placement of the compartments were on point. The vast amount of storage options both on the inside of the bag and the outside, were placed with perfection, and the outer handle and backpack style carry offered versatility to carry that we found to be an instant hit. The overall initial presentation, composition, look and feel of the brief was very well received and solid.

TESTING IT OUT
3-Way Brief
Our crew (as we mentioned) likes to head out of town once in a while. Ok we head out of town, A LOT. But hey, life is worth exploring right? We know our truth. Anyways, whenever we head out we load up with a new bag to give it an ultimate REAL test. This round, we headed to Los Angeles from Northern California, and loaded up our Coyote Tan Bag for the trip. In all honesty we brought it as a carry on, while we also loaded up another small backpack.
We loaded the MIS Calif Brief with the following essentials:
Ipad
Laptop (15 inch)
Change of T-Shirt, Fresh Socks, and a pair of “none of your business”
Grooming essentials (beard wash, toothbrush, toothpaste, deodorant, and comb)
Charging pad (wireless) and extra phone cord
After all was said and loaded up, we still had a little room to spare!
The large main compartment with zippered mesh panel on the side was the perfect spot to drop the clothes and iPad into. The padded panel for holding laptop on other side of the bag made for a perfect place to securely store the laptop- no shifting or moving while traveling. As we loaded up, the heavy-duty YKK self-repairing nylon coil zipper worked like a charm and was one of the smoothest zippering systems we have tested. We loved the 2 large pockets in the front, where we stored our extra charging pad and easily slide our cell phone into while on the plane and exiting to grab our other luggage. Carrying the bag was a breeze- the stowaway twin padded shoulder straps offered a comfortable way to back carry and the 12” Nylon webbing handles made it way to grab and carry while shuffling down the isle of the plane trying to hopefully find a window seat.
We used the detachable orange pouch for our grooming essentials which made our lives better when we could leave it out on the counter and not have to pack another bag to carry our toothbrush in. Solid add on to the bag!
After all was said and done, travel to and from our destination, accessing the items inside while smushed on our flight like sardines, and frequently access the inner parts of the bag for laptop use and storage, we found this brief to handle the load! No issues with durability, functionality, or easability while traveling. The brief upheld the rigors of travel and helped make the trip a bit more friendly.
