When organic options started hitting the coffee market years ago, the flavor tasted like a lot of the earth made it’s way into the cup (if you know what we mean). While we all are fans of dirt, we don’t know if coffee should taste like it. So, when the crew at Tayst Coffee came out with the first completely biodegradable coffee pod for the home and office, our crew had to give it a try.

Illy now in a cold brew can. The popular coffee brand you love, Illy, now just dropped a new cold brew-ready to drink- CLASSICO coffee that delivers a mild yet balanced taste for the coffee lover you are. Inside the can you can find a 12 hour cold brewed gem with a naturally sweet flavor profile with less acidity than maybe some others out there. With a crew full off coffee lovers, we had to get our hands on some of this cold brew and give it a guzzle.

Bears are bad-a$$. They are strong, bold Motha Fuc$ers and they don’t mess around with any of that weak sauce. That might be where the crew at Wandering Bear Coffee came up with the name for their boxed Cold Brew coffee brand. While their crew won’t attack you for waltzing into their territory, they will go to blows over their passion and belief in their first ever boxed cold brew blend coffee. Our crew usually avoids bears, but when we heard about Wandering Bear Coffee we said: bring it on.

Coffee done different, but better. Most often when people think of coffee beans they imagine Brazil, Colombia, and Ethiopia as the hubs of coffee bean production. Little known fact, Vietnam happens to be the world’s second largest producer of coffee beans. In fact, Vietnam is expected to produce 32.2 million 60-kilogram bags of coffee in 2019–2020, according to the USDA. That’s a heck of a lot of beans. One of those bean brewing staples in Vietnam happens to be a brand known as NGYUEN Coffee Supply.

Have you ever worked a night shift? It sucks. What doesn’t suck is a legit cup of coffee while working said night shift. Ok so you don’t have to work a night shift to enjoy strong flavors, bold varieties, and coffee combinations that will make anyone say “pour me another cup.” With solid coffee (and we mean good coffee) it can help keep your eyes open and your focus on point- no matter what shift happens. Because our crew loves coffee (and by love we mean live off of coffee), and because there is a brand making it named Night Shift, we wanted to try the blends offered by Night Shift Brewing to tie our whole intro together (ok that is not the only reason).

When our crew stumbles across a coffee brand claiming to offer something new and different we take notice. The crew over at Steeped Coffee did something that grabbed our attention in the coffee game: ground coffee filled steeping bags! Say what? Yeah- 100% specialty Direct Trade craft coffee that's hand roasted locally in small batches, precision ground to the micron, and nitro-sealed for freshness inside a steeping bag. Sign us up!

Ask your buddy what coffee they make or prefer to brew and we can almost guarantee they won’t say “oh, this little cup of heaven is an instant coffee.” Why is that? Well, typically it’s because instant coffee tastes like something they bring into space to eat- ya know, stuff that lacks a key ingredient: flavor. What if we blew your buddy’s (and your) mind with an instant coffee that tastes more like coffee and less like pit stop fuel? 

We poured over (sorry- layup) several coffee services and found one we thought was worth a shot (at it again) and asked our new friends at Bean Box Coffee if we could give their brand a go on a review. They said “cool beans” (last one promise) and sent us their coffee to try. 

No matter how much you like your coffee- you want to enjoy it with some legit coffee beans. That is where our good friends over at SF Bay Coffee sent us two varieties of coffee to try out and review: French Roast and Rainforest Blend. We grounded some beans and had quite the duuude moment.
